History of The Insurance House

Peter Krause moved to Texas in 1983 to open his own business, an independent property and casualty insurance agency. After seven years of growth, Mr. Krause sold his agency to form a company that would be 100% dedicated to the client and not the insurance company. Focusing on Life, Health, and Disability products, The Insurance House was formed in April 1989.

Since April 1989 the mission of The Insurance House has remained simple and unchanged,

"to serve the people."

Working with corporations, family owned businesses, or individuals and families, Mr. Krause and the staff of The Insurance House remains dedicated to helping people with their insurance.

Today, The Insurance House serves thousands of clients in Texas, Arizona, Colorado, and Florida. We serve companies with employees in almost every state. As a result of the caring staff, toll-free number, and our dedication, our individual clients and our group accounts have found comfort in knowing we care and are there to serve them.

The Insurance House is open 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Central time, Monday through Friday. There is no voice mail. A real person will answer the telephone ready to serve. During non-business hours, the phones are personally answered by a service that will immediately transmit your call and message to agency management. In the event of an emergency, we will utilize resources available to provide immediate assistance.

The Staff of The Insurance House

Peter Krause - Agency Manager

Licensed since 1983 in Texas, Arizona, Colorado, and Florida, Mr. Krause maintains a General Lines Agent License. He is qualified in Life, Accident, Health, HMO, and Property and Casualty insurance.

Joining the agency in 1991, Mr. Hoctor maintains a General Lines Agent License. He is qualified in Life, Accident, Health, and HMO insurance.

Chris Rinewalt - Manager, Individual and Family Accounts

Joining the agency in 2005, Mr. Rinewalt maintains a General Lines Agent License. He is qualified in Life, Accident, Health, and HMO insurance.

Chris Schauer - Customer Assistance, Individual and Family Accounts

Joining the agency in 2000 as an intern, Mr. Schauer has returned to the agency on 2005 after receiving his degree from Texas Tech University.

Laurel Winkelmann - Customer Assistance, Group Accounts

Joining the agency in 2005, Ms. Winkelmann has her degree from Midwestern State University.
